Regarded as outsider in Manchester and Orkney by now although it is quite relaxing to return to Stockport and not have to think about "speaking proper" to get understood.
Haven't acquired an Orkney accent either - folk would just think I was taking the piss! more just an indiscriminate accent localised to nowhere!
