Biopic (plain text only) Left Augustines in 1970 with just enough qualifications to apply for Junior Clerical jobs in the Civil Service and Manchester Council. Got a job in Manchester Town Hall, Highways Department Wages Office. Spent the next 45+ years employed by them. Married at 21, Golden Wedding anniversary next year! Have three children and 8 grandchildren, still a red, done a bit of travelling, love my football and racing (mostly from the comfort of my recliner now!) and visits from/to the grandkids who are all close by. My experience of St Augustines was pretty much the same as everybody else's I imagine. You make of it what you want then move on!! Think I had more than my fair share of trips to Spikes office! Hey ho!!!
