Dear Sir or Madam,
I am happy to inform you
that the Governors of this school are prepared to offer a place
to your son as a first-year pupil here from the beginning of the
Michaelmas Term on 1st September this year.
The course of studies
offered here lasts for seven or eight years and leads to higher
education.
I must ask you to write
immediately to the Headmaster stating whether or not you wish to
accept the place offered to your son at St. Augustine's.
If you accept, the
Headmaster will in the near future invite your son to be
interviewed by him at the school. The visit will be arranged
through the primary school which your son at present attends. The
Headmaster will also invite you, together with all other parents
of new boys, to visit the school and to receive all necessary
information concerning uniform and other matters, before the
summer holidays.
Permit me to remind you to return to the Education Office the form which you will have
received indicating whether or not you wish to accept the place offered here.
The Headmaster looks forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
(R. Farr)
Registrar
